David Diaz-Rodriguez joined ADR School of Motoring (then his father’s business) as a fully qualified instructor in 2005 and has since gone on to become a respected driving instructor in his own right and achieved the highest grade in his DVSA assessment. David will go the extra mile to ensure that a pupil has the time they need to master manoeuvres and makes it as easy as possible for pupils to grasp the concepts that many drivers take for granted once they’ve been on the road a while.
Having had a driving instructor for a father, David knows the pressures of learning to drive better than most, but still passed his own driving test at the first attempt soon after his 17th birthday, so has over 20 years driving experience.
David now has a family of his own and four children keeps him busy juggling all his commitments, but he continues to exemplify the ADR School of Motoring ethos, providing the same professional and friendly service that has become expected from the Diaz-Rodriguez family driving school.
In July 2021, David taught his eldest daughter, who passed first time with only one minor fault. It's never easy to teach family but David proved that you're in safe and patient hands when learning to drive with him.

After being recommended by a friend for having lessons with ADR, I was very happy with how they all went, the instructor was very helpful in allowing me to be there best driver I can be by explaining everything in lots of detail and clearly rectifying the mistakes made efficiently so they wouldn’t be a common mistake I would make when driving in the future. I would highly recommend for anyone who is wanting to start driving to learn with this company. I wouldn’t have gone anywhere else!

Best driving instructor ever! Can not recommend highly enough!
Dave is an AMAZING instructor! My daughter passed her test today - first time! She has been a very nervous learner but throughout the process Dave has been so kind and understanding, he has infinite patience and a great sense of humour! He is very dedicated to his pupils and he will do his absolute best to accommodate any requests, including working on his day off this weekend to squeeze in some extra pre test lessons! We honestly cannot thank him enough for everything he has done!

Dave completely lives up to the five star reviews - he is just outstanding as an instructor. Very timely, keeps in touch and is flexible when it comes to booking or re-scheduling lessons. He's extremely knowledgeable and really does get you ready for the test by making sure you know all the road signs, the test routes and answers all the questions you may have. I had never driven before and within twenty hours of lessons with Dave, I've just passed by driving test without a single fault - clean sheet! Thank you Dave and all the best!
